Position: Senior HR Manager
Location: Virtual/Remote

Purpose of the Job:

Partnered with the AVP of HR Client Services and HR Directors to execute team talent strategy, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

Management:

  1. Effectively support managing all Human Resources functions
  2. Inform and mentor generalist performance with observation and feedback
  3. Manage, track, and resolve escalated generalist and client issues
  4. Resolve escalated employee questions in a timely manner
  5. Partnered with the AVP of HR Client Services and HR Directors to execute team talent strategy, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  6. Responsible for leading research, implementation, and enforcement of new or updated policies that comply with ever-changing federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  7. Create cross-training opportunities for all HR-NFP team members across all clients to better facilitate covering for each other due to absences or departures.
  8. Assist with creating learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for the team.

Operations:

  1. Serve as Project Manager for the Trello tool: make sure work is being completed on time and that the tool is being utilized efficiently & effectively.
  2. Manage client email flow and daily administrative workflow for client sites.
  3. Manage client systems and reporting.
  4. Lead proactive internal audits of client files to ensure best practices are being followed.
  5. Lead quality assurance of offer letters

Client Facing and Advisory:

  1. Lead “Service Management” for all new and existing clients
  2. Owns preparation of client-facing communications (such as quarterly newsletters) from HR-NFP team to each/all of its clients;
  3. Lead the onboarding process with any new clients to ensure a thorough, uniform, and fulsome onboarding;
  4. Determine appropriate email SLA (service level agreement) for each client, and enforce adherence to it;
  5. Initiates and conducts employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  6. HR steward of best practices and employment law
  7. Navigate complexities of union interaction

Generalist:

  1. Function as a generalist when the backup is needed or gaps present
  2. Support the talent acquisition process, which may include interviewing and hiring qualified job applicants for customer-facing and professional roles; collaborate with Talent Acquisition to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  3. Conduct background checks, complete verifications, validate I-9s, administer leaves and benefits, lead annual open enrollments, and investigations, update HRIS with status and compensation changes
  4. Interpret CBA and handbook policies
